Hi,

Does anyone know any good alternatives to AVG Free? Im looking for a freebie. :-)

Hi Sean,

There is not a whole lot of choice in the free antivirus market, I think like hosting you get what you pay for ! I'd recommend Norton Antivirus.

Would you recomment this as a firewall also? I was thinking of Zonealarm Pro?Any expierence of this?

Hi Firma,

You could use Norton Internet Security or Windows Firewall, I use both products and I find that Norton is slower, so my own preference would be to use Windows Firewall but just make sure that your service packs are up to date as older versions of Windows Firewall had bugs.

For larger customer sites, McAfee has a fantastic EPO which links everything together for managment and monitoring!

I heard good things about McAfee. Meaning that is very effective. But also eat a lot of virtual memory.

AVG is not just you want to have, belive me. If you work extremely much on internet. AVG is not a good solution.

Norton is good, but not good enough. There are some viruses that Norton can't bust.

If you want a good antivirus, you could choose kaspersky or bitdefender.

Avira Antivir is what I use. Pretty happy with it too.
