Smart-phones are becoming more and more popular and most users are unaware of the security implications of using free or piblic Wifi networks. When you check your email through on Smartphone a hacker on the same network can use a packet sniffer to collect sensitive information such as your email username & password which are usually sent in clear text. This is known as a man-in-the-middle atack. It allows the hacker to read all your email even without you knowing.

Does this effect me?
If you use public Wifi networks along with POP/SMTP email then this does effect you.

What can I do to step this happening?
To stop this happening you need to encrypt the connection between your phone and the server. You can do this using SSL/TLS. Most good mail servers support SSL/TLS but you will also need to buy a SSL certificate. We have a list of certificates available here but any of these certificates will work fine for SSL/TLS. You will also need to update the security settings on your smartphone and on your PC.

Can Web World fix this for me?

You've probably been hearing about proxy service for home use and travel. That's because it's more important than ever to be smarter and safer while you're on the Internet. I use web proxy service to navigate freely and anonymously on the Internet . The data traveling between you and those servers is encrypted, and the IP address that will appear will surfing or downloading content from the Internet will be that of the server and not your own. From this site you will for sure find some working proxy and enjoy the speed and good connection.
