Hi Subir,

I presume that you are looking to setup a blog on your site, you can use ASP, ASP.NET, PHP, Perl or Coldfusion.

You can download some ASP blogging scripts online @ http://www.aspin.com/home/webapps/conte ... s?qry=blog

Let us know if you have any other questions.
Thanks

Hi again Subir,

If you order a Digital Certificate with us we will install OsCommerce for you free of charge. Prices for this are here

Installing phpBB is quite easy but you need some scripting experience. Here are some steps.

Step 1: Download the zip version of phpBB here

Step 2: Using your control panel add a MySQL database & user.

Step 3: Upload it to your site and open http://www.yourname.ie/phpbb/install/ in your browser. Then follow the install steps.

If you dont have scripting experience you could get someone to do it for you on http://www.getafreelancer.com. If you have any other questions just let us know.
Thanks

I use phpBB and its quite easy install. Just know your paths to your home directory before you begin! I was looking at purchasing Vbulletin more so for security rather than any extra features but couldn't decide in the end if it is actually more secure than phpBB.

A few tips:
Rename your phpBB table with a prefix. You get this option in the installationi precedure...Instead of 'PHP_' replace it with something of your own...say 'GHD_'. It helps security.

When your up and running don't be wandering around the forum under your admin name and login. Just in case there's anyone hijacking sessions (although PHPbb doesn't use sessions as such - user data is stored in an array and called on each page) or listening in. Create a moderator with full rights bar admin and use him instead.

Finally move the admin folder out of your directory when not in use. You can create an empty admin fodler then and password protect it. If anyone is trying to hack they'll waste a few hours hacking into an empty admin folder  When you need to access the admin section put back the 'real' admin folder.

The community forum for PHPbb can be found here:
http://www.phpbb.com/community/

As an added note decide if you want users to be able add attachments to their posts. If so install EASYMOD and then get the attachment mod. You can then install the attachment mod with easymod. Do this BEFORE you go editing skins or installing one of the many skins out there. If you installl a skin first and then decide you want need the attachment option you'll have to edit a large of files manually which is annoying to say the least...if only I'd known this beforehand!

Finally the major problem with phpBB is bots creating accounts. So make sure you have CAPTCHA running (this comes as standard.)
