Custom php.ini

Postby Firma » Sat Apr 05, 2008 9:56 pm

I'm on a linux shared host and trying to alter variables in the php.ini file. Currently the php.ini file is located in the wwwroot/ folder and I've also included it in any other folder where the specific variables required are checked.
However running a phpinfo query still shows the default settings of the server, meaning file uploads in particular will not work.

The settings I'm trying to change are:
post_max_size - I've this set at 20m
post_max_size - I've this set at 20m
max_input_time - I've set to -1.

What am I doing wrong?! :?

Hi Firma,

It sounds like your scripts aren't using your php.ini file, are you on one of our shared servers? If so let us know which site and we'll give you a copy of the original php.ini file that we used to install php. I've found that there are major differences in php.ini files from version v4.0.1 to v4.4.8 and also in version 5.x.x You nearly always have to use the same php.ini file that came with the installation and then customize it. Hope this helps. :-)
Thanks
